IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. As the name indicates, it’s a unique 15 digit number that is used to identify individual mobile devices. The first 14 digits of an IMEI number are the identification portion, while the last digit is a check that’s calculated using the Luhn algorithm. IMEI numbers were developed to be a permanent identifier of a device, as SIM cards are generally associated with the user.
The IMEI number is used by all carriers worldwide like Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T to determine if a device is valid. This allows them to send data (carrier services) to the device or stop individuals from using stolen Android phones or iPhones on their networks. Since the number is tied directly to the device itself, tactics such as swapping out the SIM card to give a stolen phone access won’t work. This is why it’s important to check its IMEI status.
We pull all of our information from multiple sources. We pull our information from the original carrier database (if applicable), the manufacturer database and the GSM.A database. These 3 sources give us an unparalleled look at up to the minute current status of your device as well as all the past history of your device. We can tell if your device has ever been blacklisted and then had an IMEI Repair back to clean and clear status. Need warranty information? We can uncover and see if your device has ever been repaired under a warranty claim and when that repair took place. Check and see if your warranty is still valid or if and when it has already expired. We can tell the original purchase date of your device too. Not sure if the device you are buying is a refurbished device? We can get that info for you!

Can I use an IMEI check service with a MEID?
You can. MEID numbers are used by CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) carriers on CDMA networks like Verizon but they fulfill the same function as an IMEI and for most users, the terms are interchangeable.
Can I use an IMEI check service with a ESN?
You can. ESN is the abbreviated term for Electronic Serial Number and was designed by the FCC in the 1980's to uniquely identify CDMA mobile devices. CDMA as well as ESN's are slowly being phased out for more recent and newer mobile frequencies (GSM) and mobile identifiers such as IMEI. You can use your device's ESN as long as you enter the first 15 digits of the ESN.
Why are the results of my IMEI different when I check another website?
Do not use or trust the 3rd party, google searched IMEI check sites or blacklist checking sites. The data and/or information that comes from those 3rd party checking websites hold your device's information that is on average at least 30 days old and some are giving you device information that is up to 60 days old! They do not extract their data daily. They pull all IMEI meta data once a month or once every two months. With information changing so quickly in the mobile technology industry, you need literally up to the minute and up to the second, true current information and status of your device. This is what we provide. The 3rd party sites can pull info almost simultaneously. Our information pull takes a little longer because we are really pulling the current information from 3 sources and compile it up for you. Never buy a new/used device again without using this service first. Order our service on a device you are going to put up for sale. We offer official information and an individual selling a mobile device with a print out of the device info is almost a sure and much more easy sell, putting your buyer at ease knowing they are confident in what they are buying.
*No personal information will be given to us about you the owner or the original owner of the device. If you need to know the original and/or current owner of the device, please see our "Other Carrier Services" section. We can find out who originally purchased any iOS iPhone or iPad device (Apple ID Owner Info).

EXAMPLE:
What is an IMEI number & where is it located?
The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number is a unique identification or serial number that all mobile phones and smartphones have. It is normally 15 digits long. All iPhone and Android devices have an IMEI 1 and some have an IMEI 2. IMEI 1 is the physical sim tray slot and IMEI 2 is reserved for the eSIM. We only need IMEI 1 to network unlock the device. Unlocking IMEI 1 will also unlock IMEI 2 (eSIM) as well as any other eSIM slots on the device (such as iPhone 14 USA models, all 8 eSIM slots will unlock)
To find the IMEI on your iPhone:
To Find The IMEI on Android:
